Which Service Do You Actually Need?

Most calls start with one of these four questions. Here are the honest answers.

Dumpster or junk removal?

Rent a dumpster if you can load it yourself over a few days at your own pace. Choose junk removal if you want a crew to lift, load and haul it away today.

Why not just use city pickup?

Dothan’s own ordinance (Chapter 82, Sec. 82-20) excludes building material, roofing shingles, contractor debris, tires and limbs over 8 inches from curbside collection. That debris is your responsibility to haul — which is exactly what a roll-off is for.

Construction can or residential can?

Same steel box — the difference is the debris. Concrete, shingles and dirt are heavy, so a construction load is capped by weight before it is capped by space. Providers will tell you the fill line up front.

What about a roofing tear-off?

Architectural shingles run roughly 400+ pounds per square, and older Dothan homes often carry two layers. The roofing page explains how providers size the container by squares and layers.

Where we take calls

Areas Served

Every county in the Wiregrass runs waste differently — Houston County charges from the first bag of yard debris, Ozark bans shingles from city trash outright, and Geneva refuses special pickups entirely. Each area page covers the local rules.

Not sure which size or service?

Describe the project on the phone — what you are tearing out, how much of it, and where the can needs to sit. You will have a straight answer and a flat rate before you hang up.
